1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, subscribing to any plan, purchasing credits, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 18 years of age; (b) have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Policy; and (d) are authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.

Important: If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

2.1 Services We Provide

Legis AI provides an AI-driven legal services platform that delivers contract review, due diligence, legal research, and document drafting. Our platform uses a multi-agent AI system with human lawyer review before final delivery. This Service is a digital software-as-a-service (SaaS) product provided over the Internet.

2.2 Service Nature

This Service is a digital intangible product. Service access is activated immediately upon payment confirmation. Due to the immediate delivery nature of digital services, refunds are subject to specific limitations as described in Section 7.

2.3 AI Model Disclosure

This Service uses third-party AI model providers, including DeepSeek, for legal analysis and document generation. The performance and availability of this Service may be affected by these providers' operational status. Significant disruptions will be promptly communicated to users.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

Using this Service requires creating an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all operations under your account.

3.2 Account Security

  • Immediately contact security@legis.ai if you discover unauthorized use
  • Do not share login credentials with any third party
  • Ensure your billing email address remains valid

3.3 Enterprise Accounts

If registering on behalf of a company or organization, you declare that you are authorized to enter into this agreement for that entity.

4. Credit Packs and Purchase Plans

This Service operates on a credit pack model. You purchase credit packs to access our AI legal services. Each credit pack grants you a set number of AI legal case analyses.

Credit packs are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. Credits expire if unused within the 30-day validity period. Current available credit packs and pricing are listed at https://legis.ai/pricing.

We reserve the right to modify credit pack features or launch new plans at any time. Price changes follow Section 5.2.

5. Billing and Payment

5.1 Single Purchase Authorization

Each credit pack purchase is a one-time transaction. Completing a purchase constitutes authorization for Legis AI to charge your payment method the amount displayed at checkout.

5.2 Auto-Recharge (if enabled)

Enabling auto-recharge authorizes Legis AI to automatically charge your saved payment method when your credit balance falls below your configured threshold, according to the amount set in your account settings. You may disable auto-recharge at any time.

5.3 Taxes

Unless otherwise stated, all listed prices do not include applicable taxes (including VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.). If required by applicable law, we will collect and remit relevant taxes on your behalf.

6. Credit Validity and Account Termination

6.1 Credit Expiration

Purchased credits are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified at time of purchase. We will send reminders before credits expire.

6.2 Account Termination

If your account is terminated (whether by you or us), unused credits will be retained for 30 days after termination. After this period, unused credits will expire and will not be refunded unless required by applicable law.

7. Refund Policy

7.1 General Policy

Consumed credits are generally non-refundable. The following are exceptions:

  • Unused credits within 14 days: Full refund available for unused credits within 14 days of purchase
  • Duplicate charges: Full refund for duplicate charges due to billing errors
  • Legal rights: EU/UK 14-day withdrawal right for first-time purchasers, void after first use

7.2 Non-Refundable Items

  • Credits that have been consumed
  • Credits expired after the 30-day validity period
  • Credits from purchases older than 14 days (except for duplicate charges)

7.3 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, send an email to refunds@legis.ai with your account email and transaction ID. We will confirm within 2 business days and process refunds within 5-10 business days.

8. Billing Disputes

If you believe there is a billing error, please contact us at billing@legis.ai before initiating a dispute with your bank. We are committed to responding within 2 business days and resolving confirmed billing errors within 5 business days.

9. AI Content and Intellectual Property

9.1 Output Content Ownership

Subject to these Terms, AI content generated from your inputs ("Output Content") belongs to you. You may use Output Content for any lawful purpose permitted under Section 10.

9.2 Input Content License

By submitting content to this Service ("Input Content"), you grant Legis AI a limited, non-exclusive license, solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use your Input Content for AI model training without your explicit consent.

9.3 AI Output Accuracy

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or be outdated. It is your responsibility to review and verify Output Content before relying on it.

10. Acceptable Use Policy

10.1 Permitted Uses

You may only use this Service for lawful purposes that comply with these Terms, including personal productivity, business automation, research, and development activities.

10.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use this Service to:

  • Generate illegal, defamatory, harassing, or fraudulent content
  • Generate, disseminate, or assist in creating deepfake content, including AI-synthesized audio, video, or images impersonating real individuals or intended to mislead viewers about their source or authenticity
  • Generate content sexualizing minors or violating child protection laws
  • Create malware, phishing content, or cyberattack tools
  • Infringe any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Bypass or interfere with this Service's security features
  • Resell or subcontract access rights without prior written approval
  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or card association rules

10.3 AI-Specific Prohibitions

In addition to the above prohibitions, given the AI nature of this Service, you explicitly agree not to:

  • Use this Service's inputs, outputs, model responses, or any derivative data to train, fine-tune, benchmark, distill, or otherwise develop any AI or machine learning model that directly or indirectly competes with this Service or Legis AI products
  • Large-scale systematic crawling, extraction, or collection of model outputs for any purpose beyond your personal authorized use
  • In scenarios causing harm, present AI-generated content as成果 from human professionals (such as practicing doctors, lawyers, or financial advisors)

11. Data, Privacy and Security

Your use of this Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, published at https://legis.ai/privacy. Payment card data is exclusively processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor, Waffo Pancake, and is NOT stored on our servers. Account data is retained for 90 days after cancellation, then deleted.

12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

12.1 Disclaimer

This Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or AI output accuracy.

12.2 AI Generated Content Disclaimer

12.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Legis AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim event.

13. Term and Termination

These Terms remain effective during your use of the Service. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, are suspected of fraudulent behavior, or are required by law to do so. If we terminate the Service for reasons not attributable to your breach, we will refund unused prepaid amounts proportionally. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@legis.ai.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

15. General Provisions
